Robert Willes is a composer, producer, audio engineer, and classically trained cellist. Some of his latest projects include ads for Mazda and the OnePlus smartphone, featuring Robert Downey Jr. He specializes in composing for strings, orchestra, and electronics, all with a cinematic touch.
In the fall of 2020, Robert was selected for mentorship in the Los Angeles Academy of Music Production and currently studies under the guidance of legendary production duo Stargate (Sam Smith, Katy Perry, Rihanna, Coldplay).
Robert has a bachelor's in cello performance from Brigham Young University and a master's in music technology from New York University. He also studied the erhu under Tianjin Music Conservatory's erhu virtuoso Zhu Ming. He has toured extensively throughout Asia, performing solo recitals and concerts with the Vietnam National Opera and Ballet Symphony and Brigham Young University's Chamber Orchestra.
